Resolviendo en Cuba

Timeline

Summer 2021

About the project

Resolver is a Spanish term that holds varying meanings but directly translates to “solve.” In Cuba, “resolver” is used to describe the process that Cubans turn to in everyday life to demonstrate innovation and willpower amongst a lack of proper resources and support. In this project, led by Dr. Michaelanne Thomas, we investigated the cultural ethos and theorization of “resolver.”

My role

During my time as a research assistant, I contributed to a working paper and provided an extensive literature review of the current atmosphere of “resolver” in CSCW and HCI.
