About the project
Most, if not all, of us experience a major life transition in our lifetime–an event that leads to major upheaval–such as moving to a different state, losing a job, or getting married. In the Life Transitions and Social Media project directed by Dr. Oliver Haimson, we explored the many different life transitions people experience and how people use social media during those times of change.
My role
I entered the project in 2018 as a research assistant through the University of Michigan’s Undergraduate Research Opportunities Program (UROP). Through UROP, I gained beginner knowledge on the importance of research, how to conduct different research studies, and how to prepare and publish research papers. Using this training, I supported survey and interview design, conducted interviews, analyzed interview data, developed literature reviews, and co-authored publications listed below.
